Local veteran Melissa Fay appeared on the TODAY Show yesterday while attending the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s “Hiring Our Heroes” Job Fair in New York. She talks about the importance of helping employers understand how military skills translate in the workplace. Fay, a former lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, landed a position as a financial analyst with GE in Louisville, Ky., last year after attending Hiring Our Heroes. Now, she’s helping other veterans adjust to civilian life and find employment.
