Mid-America Science Park hires new Senior Concierge, Amanda Couch
Scottsburg, Indiana – The City of Scottsburg’s Mid-America Science Park (MASP) in
Scottsburg, Ind., is one of the most comprehensive education/training and event parks in the
country. The flagship of the facility is the Training & Workforce Development Center which
serves adults and students each year who are seeking to advance their skills. Additionally, Mid-
America Science Park hosts a number of meetings, events/weddings and conferences
throughout the year, and is home to a variety of organizations, businesses and associations.
The City of Scottsburg’s Mid-America Science Park (MASP) welcomes Amanda Couch as its
new Senior Concierge. She will oversee all events and rentals at Mid America Science Park.
Amanda is a lifelong resident of Scott County and a Scottsburg High School graduate. She is
the mother of 3 teenage daughters who attend Austin High School. She loves coffee, cats and
spending time with her family. Amanda loves to be around people and she’s excited to help with
everyone’s meeting or event needs. She is a hard worker who loves organization and ensuring
every detail is perfect. With these skills, Amanda is ready to provide a great experience for
anyone visiting MASP.
“The Mid-America Science Park is one of the city’s largest assets and we are continuing to see
the growth of this park through events and training opportunities. From company and
organization dinners and events, business meetings, weddings, graduation parties and other
social events, Mid-America Science Park can serve many needs to the region,” noted Mayor
Terry Amick. “We encourage our residents but also those outside of Scottsburg and Scott
County to utilize MASP. I’m happy to announce that Amanda is now with us and she will be able
to handle all event needs at MASP with ease and if you have questions or concerns she, or
anyone at MASP, will be able to help you. We, at the City of Scottsburg, are here to serve.”
Director of Education and Training Tyson Skinner added, “Everyone is excited to welcome
Amanda to the Mid-America Science Park Family and excited to continue to watch our footprint
on the Event, Business and Education demands in the area grow.”

MASP has 112,000 square feet of innovative space with an additional 19 acres reserved for
expansion. The MASP is located 30 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky, and 80 miles south of
Indianapolis. MASP was created thanks to the constructive collaboration of local leadership,
board members and economic development organizations. The vision for MASP is to be a
